Letters to Buildings Is an onging performance lecture series where i write letters to biuldings. By putting an auidience in a buidlings shoes for a change, the performance focuses on how the treatement and utalisation of our biult enviroment might inform us about the people that utialsise them. Im only writing to buildings where the lines between public and private assets are distorted. Buildings that have been sold and re-formatted to fit a market demand, a perceived scarcity, or change in the understood function of a public institution and the commons in general. These building though are not completely private, like a hotel, or upmarket housing apartment block. Thier function has altered but remains a public responsibility. One where the perceived function of a public commons has evidently changed.
